Our local team

Jerry Cattell is the Director of Technical Operations for Tempus and a co-organizer of the DevOps Chicago meetup group. In his free time, Jerry enjoys traveling, reading, and playing with new technologies.

Matt Stratton is a DevOps Evangelist at PagerDuty, where he help dev and ops teams advance the practice of their craft and become more operationally mature. He collaborates with PagerDuty customers and industry thought leaders in the broader devops community, and his license plate actually says “DevOps”. He is the founder and co-host of the popular Arrested DevOps podcast. Matt lives in the Chicagoland area with his wife Andrea, their cat Fancy, and his three kids, Henry, Joey, and Sophia. He also has an unhealthy obsession with Doctor Who, Firefly, and Game of Thrones. And whiskey.

Margaret Valtierra is the Senior Marketing Specialist at Cohesive Networks. She is responsible for growing Cohesive’s awareness through digital and written content creation, public relations, and community events. She organizes and leads the Chicago AWS user group. Previously, Margaret was VP of Operations at GreenPoint Partners, a sustainability consulting company for commercial real estate. At GreenPoint, Margaret managed the LEED building certification process for over 5 million square feet of commercial space and earned her LEED GA and LEED AP accreditations. Margaret has a BSM from Tulane University and is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
